In a Communique that this publication has seen signed by Madalitso Njolomole CSTU General Secretary, Charles Kumchenga TUM Secretary General and Charles Kalemba representing the Government Negotiating Team, the concerned parties have also agreed concerned parties have agreed to continue engaging on matters relating to salaries and conditions of service Civil Servants in the country.
“Following the above agreements, the CSTU/TUM has therefore postponed the industrial action in form of a strike that was planned to start on Monday 9 January 2023 while the two parties work on the proposed improvements of the conditions of service for all civil servants,” reads the Communique.
