The win means Chitipa United have dislodged FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at the summit of the table. The rockies have 36 points from 19 games while Bullets dropped to second with 34 points from 17 games.

Ekwendeni Hammers Assistant coach Lackson Mauluka whose team has now gone seven games without a win did not hide his disappointment with the result.

“I am disappointed as we came here to win the game, after conceding that goal we lost confidence that’s why we failed to equalize or even win the match” said Mauluka
