Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM), the largest non-governmental provider of reproductive health care in Malawi has donated K4 million to MISA Malawi.
BLM says the support is for this year’s media awards in a new category called sexual and reproductive health.
The organization’s Senior Marketing Manager, Simeon Thodi says BLM values the role the media plays in advancing reproductive health care for Malawians by busting information disorders.
“Reproductive health care remains one of the services facing barriers at different levels. The media plays a crucial role in addressing the barriers and shifting the narrative so that people can discuss reproductive health care in a more positive way” said Thodi.
MISA Malawi Chairperson, Golden Matonga thanked BLM for the support towards the new category.
“ We welcome the good gesture by Banja La Mtsogolo. The media thrives on partnership on partnerships and collaboration and we are delighted to see BLM valuing its partnership with the media by providing support to World Press Freedom day celebrations” said Matonga.
