Bangwe All Stars’ winless streak in the TNM Super League extended to three games as they suffered a 1-0 defeat by CRECK Sporting Club on Saturday.

Bangwe, who had lost their last match against Baka City a fortnight ago, went down in the 24th minute when Anold Kiyama swung in a deep free-kick to George Chaomba whose attempt was saved by Bangwe goalie Precious Mlotiwa to the direction of Yamikami Tambala who made an easy tap into the net.

The result means, Bangwe All Stars have won once in all 12 League games this season.

They remain in relegation zone, on 14th with 7 points.

“It was a nice but we gave them a silly goal, lack of concentration costed us”. Said Bangwe All Stars coach Rodgers Yasin.

Nevertheless, Yasin believes there is still more time to work on current woes.

His counterpart Macdonald Mtetemela was delighted for the victory that marked the end of their two-games winless streak.

“I knew Bangwe will come flat out, we prepared for that and I told my players to score first and try to avoid conceding, they adhere and iam very happy for that” said Mtetemela.

The win lifted CRECK Sporting Club up from sixth to fourth on standings.
