Zimbabwe Golfers have become the first to arrive in the country for the Africa Region 5 Amateur Golf Challenge which Malawi is hosting starting from Wednesday, 17th May to Saturday 20th May, 2023 at Lilongwe Golf Club.

Golf Union of Malawi Vice President Thomas Chafunya has confirmed that st all the participating teams have arrived.

“We are glad to have Zimbabwe arrive earlier today Monday 15th. This is good sign as it shows hunger and eager to participate. All other countries and their delegates will arrive tomorrow, May 16th”

“We initially expected all eight countries to be present but we will have 6 at the moment after Angola and Mozambique sent apologies. So we will have 24 golfers from six countries as opposed to expected 32” said Chafunya

Very soon we should be unveiling the plans for the new constituted Union Board”.
