Leading telecommunications company, Airtel Malawi has reaffirmed its leadership in innovative marketing after scooping four awards at the 2025 Institute of Marketers in Malawi (IMM) Marketing Excellence Awards held in Salima over the weekend.

The recognitions highlight the company’s continued commitment to creative, strategic, and culturally relevant campaigns that connect deeply with Malawians.

The telecommunications company won Outdoor Campaign of the Year for ChezaFaya Combo Bundles, Social Media Campaign of the Year and Marketing Campaign of the Year for Airtel Top 8, and Marketer of the Year, awarded to its Head of Brand and Communication, Norah Chavula Chirwa.

The Airtel Top 8 campaign was the biggest winner of the night, taking home two awards for its innovative, data-driven execution. The campaign transformed a football tournament into a nationwide digital and commercial success, generating over 11 million views and K216 million in total gate revenue. Of this amount, K72.6 million was transacted via Airtel Money during the record-breaking finals at Bingu National Stadium.

She has driven exponential growth across campaigns such as Airtel Top 8, ChezaFaya Combo Bundles, and MoFaya Data Bundles. Her ability to merge cultural insight, digital innovation, and commercial goals has made her one of Malawi’s most influential marketing figures.

Airtel Malawi Managing Director Aashish Dutt described the awards as a reflection of the company’s deep connection with Malawians.

“These awards reflect our commitment to connecting with Malawians through culture, technology, and innovation. We’re proud of our team’s creativity and the impact our campaigns continue to make in fostering connectivity for all Malawians,” Dutt said.

He added that the four awards stand as a testament to Airtel’s marketing excellence and its role in building a more connected Malawi.
