Airtel Money Tola Promotion Nears K300 Million Mark

Date:

The Airtel Money Tola Promotion has edged closer to the K300 million mark after disbursing K270 million to 2,727 winners nationwide, with three more customers pocketing K5 million each in the ninth draw conducted on Thursday.

The latest winners are Daniel Naura, a construction entrepreneur residing in Area 25, Mabvuto Matewere, a police officer based in Monkey Bay, and Albert Chiona, a small-scale trader from Karonga.

Naura, who runs a construction business, joined the growing list of Malawians whose lives have been transformed through the promotion. At the same time, Matewere said he regularly uses Airtel Money for mobile banking transactions.

Chiona, who earns a living selling kaunjika in Karonga, expressed excitement over his windfall and said the money would help him expand his business.

“This money will help me grow my business and improve my livelihood. I would also like to encourage fellow Malawians not to doubt the draw because ordinary customers are genuinely winning,” said Chiona.

Commenting on the promotion’s progress, Airtel Money Head of Marketing Virginia Jere said customer participation has remained strong, with more people continuing to transact using Airtel Money.

“The Airtel Money Tola Promotion is on track. A lot of customers have taken part in the competition. A total of 2,727 customers have so far won in the competition. One encouraging experience is that the winners have had their lives changed for the better,” said Jere.

She added that the promotion continues to make a positive impact on customers from different backgrounds, with winners emerging from across the country.

The Airtel Money Tola Promotion rewards three customers with K5 million every week, alongside 300 consolation winners who receive K50,000 each.

The grand prize of the competition is K50 million, which will be awarded at the end of the 12-week promotion.
