Secretary to the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba has asked ministries to provide progress of some commitments they made during their last meeting earlier this year.
Zamba was Speaking at the start of two weeks meeting with Principal Secretaries (PS’s), Directors and some officers within ministries.
“This is part of our internal processes where by Iam meeting PS’s, Directors and some officers within ministries whereby making them to interact because we are implementing one vision, the delivery agenda of the present of food security, creating jobs, creation of wealth that is being done by all of us as a public service”
“So we are looking at progress of some of the commitments which they made last January so I want to see the progress made and achievements” said Zamba
Apart from seeking for the progress report, Zamba said the participants will also be given chance to reveal challenges they are facing and find ways of unlocking them.
She further said they will also set plans for the future.
“If you remember we had a mid-term budget and soon will also be having the actual budget next year around March so before then, we are trying to take a look on what has happened, what we are going to plan and things which we need to unlock” Zamba added
Zamba further encouraged coordination between ministries for the country to achieve it’s agendas.
The meeting which begun today in Lilongwe is expected to run until 15th December.
