FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa has once again hit out at Super League of Malawi (SULOM) and Football Association of Malawi (FAM) over high workload placed on footballers due to the hectic fixtures.
Pasuwa made the remarks after his team staged a comeback to beat Kamuzu Barracks 3-2 at their backyard, Kamuzu Stadium on Wednesday.
Olson Kanjira gave Kamuzu Barracks halftime lead after scoring at 11th minute of the match but Bullets equalized through Ephraim Kondowe on 59th minute before Maxwell Gasten Phodo added the second for the People’s team one minute later.
Drama continued in the game as Kanjira levelled the scores after 64th minutes to complete his brace, but that wasn’t enough to salvage a point for his side as Lanjesi Nkhoma sealed the victory for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets with a 67th minute strike.
After the match, Callisto Pasuwa admitted he had known that his team would struggle against Kamuzu Barracks due to fatigue.
How did Pasuwa respond to when asked about sloppy performance of the first half?
“definitely we were supposed to start badly, we are tired these players are human beings they need also to rest, to recover and just imagine also in the second half we were looking for an equalizer so when you’re looking for an equalizer you need to temple intensity up hence we pushed more then in three days time again we are going to have another game then what do you expect? They’ll go down again, they’ll do the same way”

“But we need also people around to support us in whatever we are doing just because next time we need to sit down and consider is it worthy for one to play Champions League and also local matches here otherwise will end up killing the the players now half of the team is injured and we are having problems of depth in crucial areas also that we are missing each and every player in our team”
“Yeah it can be incredible to come from behind and win this game but I’m saying would they finish the distance? What we consider at the end of the day is we are having so many games that are coming — are they going to finish off or it’s a case where they’ve pushed to win this game that we’ve played today that is what we need is to manage them also” said Pasuwa
