Political analyst George Chaima has described 100 days of Peter Mutharika’s leadership as President of Malawi as fruitful and progressive.
Speaking to The Atlas Malawi, Chaima said unlike immediate former president Lazarus Chakwera’s leadership, the current path looks promising.
“The past regime contributed much to social ills than Malawians expected, The country was forced into an economic crisis which led to most Malawians to fail accessing their basic necessities.
“It is imperative to differentiate the impact which was there before Munthalika takes over the government, during the past regime the country was going through economic challenges even although Chakwera promised to fix the economy , but we have seen these hundred days of Munthalika the economy has started to recover restoring the hope in the minds of Malawians,” he said
Chaima underscored the need for the current regime to take seriously issues of implemention of rule of law.
He reminded government that the issues of law should be equitable and must apply to all the people equally, the same thing with justice without looking the face of the party, region and a status of a person.
