There is jubilation in the BICC Auditorium where MCP elective convention is currently ongoing following unofficial results from MEC.

So far Catherine Gotani Hara who contested as First Vice President is leading followed by Richard Chimwendo Banda who contested for Secretary General.

On Director of Women Jean Sendeza is leading while on Director of Youth Baba Steve Malondela is leading.

Out of 18 positions, MEC has counted votes for 11 positions.

According to MEC Returning Officer, Christopher Botha, the unofficial results are a reflection of what is on the electoral commission’s dashboard and has assured members that official results will be released after vote counting has been completed.
