Ministry of education together with Malawi National Examination Board ( MANEB) has released 2022 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) results.
Announcing the results today in Lilongwe during an event which was presided over by Minister of Education, Agnes Nyalonje, Executive Secretary for MANEB, Professor Dorothy Nampota has said a total of 152,391 registered for the examination but 147, 977sat for the examination.
Out of 147, 977 candidates who sat for the examination, 86,477 have passed representing 58.44 percent pass rate.
Out of the 70,132 female candidates who sat for the examination, 36,795 have passed representing 52.47 percent pass rate.
Out of 77,845 male candidates who sat for the examination, 49,682 have passed representing 63.82 percent. pass rate.
Out of 1,023 special needs candidates who sat for the examination, 554 have passed representing 54. 51 percent pass rate.
Out of 92,512 internal candidates who sat for the examination, 58,514 have passed representing 63.25 percent.
Out of 17,928 external candidates, 8,532 have passed representing 47.59 percent.
41 schools have registered 100 percent pass rate and five schools have registered 0 percent pass rate.
