Mpira Mudzi Mwathu (MMM), a non-profit organization, announced that this year’s tournament will be held at Lilongwe Golf Club from 12 to 13 December 2025.
This was disclosed by MMM founder and board chair Chimango Munthali after receiving a donation of K5 million from Duluxe Paint.
The donation will help hold the event and support efforts to steer youngsters away from misbehavior until adulthood.
Duluxe Paint Commercial Manager Lexah Msowoya said the company aims to foster responsible citizens.
“We are not only a paint company; we also strive to ensure the country where we operate can grow, which is achieved by empowering children,” Msowoya stated.
She noted that Duluxe Paint also donated 28 million kwacha to support MMM’s projects active from January to December 2025.
Munthali praised the donation, saying it will significantly aid their mission.
“Mpira Mudzi Mwathu started four years ago, and since then many people and organizations have supported us due to our achievements,” said Munthali.
The organization plans to host about 1,000 children from different communities at Lilongwe Golf Club over the two days.
Munthali revealed a 20 percent funding shortfall and urged other organizations to follow Duluxe Paint’s example.
Since receiving support, MMM has been able to acquire essential items such as boots and jerseys, which had been unavailable before.
The aim is to introduce young children to football, support their development, and make it easier for them to pursue the sport as they grow.
The event will bring together young football enthusiasts from various communities to showcase their skills and learn from one another.
