Vocal controversial social media influencer Joshua Chisa Mbele has apologized to female to female judges in the country over his Facebook post in which he described female judges as ‘Ugly’.
Mbele is in the supreme court of appeal answering a defamation charge filed by Malawi Defence Force Commander General Vincent Nundwe over Mbele’s facebook posts in which he insinuated that the Defence Force Commander corruptly benefitted from Corruption suspect Zunneth Sattar.
However his case took a new twist last week when pressing Judge Justice Ivy Kamanga adjourned the case demanding that Mbele must appear in court physically to justify his Facebook remarks which he made in refference to female judges in the country.
On Thursday Mbele alongside his lawyers appeared in Justice Kamanga’s chambers for submissions to the state’s application to stay an order by the High court which reffered Mbele’s defamation case to the constitutional court.
Howevere, Mbele took advantage of the submissions session to apologize to Justice Kamanga over his remarks.
Meanwhile the court has set Friday September 16 as the day it will deliver it’s rulling in the state’a application to stay the high court rulling.
