Chipiku Stores awards 2023 CRFA Premier Division League best performers

Chipiku Stores on Friday awarded teams and individuals for their exceptional performances and work in the 2023 CRFA Chipiku Premier Division League.

“As sponsors we are happy to award best performers for the 2023 season” said Brown Mkangama, Chipiku Stores Regional Administration Manager.

Creck Sporting Club got Super League promotion after finishing top of the Central Region Division and they have been honored with K5 million as Champions.

Apart from the prize money from Chipiku, the Champions have also been given K5 million by Football Association of Malawi (FAM) as a token of appreciation for being 2023 Chipiku Stores Premier Division Champions.

St Gabriel Zitha received K1.4 Million for finishing second while Silver Strikers Reserve who finished third got their K900,000.

Military sides, Airborne Rangers and Support Battalion who finished fourth and fifth received K600,000 and K500,000 respectively.

Creck Sporting Club forward, Rahim Mtondera was named player of the season and received K150,000, same amount as the top goalscorer, Mathews Hamuza of St Gabriel Zitha FC who scored 23 goals.

Hendrix Liponda, Eric Simsamala and Charity Zenas have also been awarded as best referees for the 2023 season.

Meanwhile, there were also media awards as Erik Chiputula from The Atlas was named Best Online Reporter, Bright Kanyama was the best as radio reporter while Foster Maulidi won Best TV Reporter.

Apart from the trio, there were also awards for Best Print Reporter which was given to Frank Kalilombe while Peter Dumayo was the best Commentator.
