The Central Region Football Association (CRFA) has expelled Chatoloma Admarc Football Club from the 2025/2026 CRFA Chipiku Premier League for repeatedly failing to honor several fixtures.
In a letter dated November 24, 2025 Certified by CRFA’s general secretary Antonio Manda, the league’s governing body says the club failed to revere numerous fixtures including one home match and two away games.
The statement further described the tendency as a tumult to the League’s integrity.
The club has since been banned from all CFRA-associated football activities for five seasons.
“This behavior disrupts the League’s integrity, causes logistical challenges and results in financial loss for the association, particularly in the deployment of officials,” reads the statement in part.
In an interview on Monday
Chatoloma Admarc FC chairperson, Godfrey Chapambana, confirmed receipt of the CRFA’s communication and openly acknowledged the club’s struggles.
He revealed that financial difficulties had hindered the team’s ability to meet some of its fixture commitments.
“We have been facing financial difficulties; hence we have repeadly missed the fixture. So we appeal to well wishers to atleast assist us because sponsorship is what e are lacking at the moment,” he said.
The expulsion has sparked mixed reactions among fans and local football enthusiasts as they sympathize with the club’s financial plight.
Joseph Chimeya, one of the team’s supporters said their lack of financial support also affects it’s performance.
He said; “Chatoloma is a nice team but due to lack of proper funding our performance is in vain.”
In an interview Sports Journalist Romeo Umali commended CRFA for the decision, saying it has shown neutrality.
He said the current situation reflects the need for team’s audit before they are promoted to upper leagues.
“To the CRFA and also maybe the Football Association of Malawi, I think they should audit teams that are promoted from the National Division to the Premier Division if the teams are indeed fit to play in their league. Because it is a shame to the game of football, if we are talking about transforming the game, like what the Football Association of Malawi gurus are advocating for,” said Umali.
Chatoloma Ardmac FC (CHAAD FC) was formerly sponsored by the Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC).
The club’s current sponsorship status is less clear as recent reports indicate they faced organizational challenges.
