First 2500 fans to purchase tickets for 22 July’s Ku Mingoli Bash will have all the reasons to smile about as organisers of the Bash Sound Addicts has partnered with pain killer drug Bufen to subsidise the price of the first 2500 tickets.
This was revealed on Wednesday during a media briefing to mark the official launch of the ticket sales for the show which will take place at Lilongwe Golf Club.
Speaking during the briefing, Andrew Mwase who is Marketing Executive for Kentam Products Limited, manufacturers of Bufen drug said they decided to partner with Sound Addicts through the Buffen drug as one way of giving back to the community.
“For so long Malawians have supported us by buying our Buffen pain killing drug but as a company we haven’t given back to them to show appreciation for their support so this partnership is one way of showing appreciation for their support”, said Mwase.
Initially tickets for the show have been pegged at K4000 but with the partnership the first 2500 tickets will be sold at K1000 with Bufen drug catering for the extra cost.
Reacting to the partnership, Sound Addicts Executive Director Shadreck Kalukusha hailed Bufen drug for coming in to support the entertainment industry.
“These are the kind of partnerships that we players in the entertainment sector have been longing for and we don’t take it for granted. We urge other companies to emulate what Bufen has done and come on board to partner with us in the run up to the big day on 22 July”, said kalukusha.
Kalukusha has since confirmed that 3 international artists have confirmed they will be performing at the show.
“I can confirm here that from Jamaica we have Alaine while from South Africa Blaq Diamond is coming and just from the neighbouring Zambia Yo Mamps will be joining us. These artists will be joining our very own Kell Kay and shortly we will be unveiling a fourth international artist bust just to give you a hint that the artist will be from East Africa”, said Kalukusha.
The organisers have since unveiled comedian Nyauyu as the Bash’s Ambassador.
‘I’m super excited to be part of this event and I can’t wait for the big day itself. For now I urge all my fans top follow my page on Facebook for the Bash’s updates that will be coming every Thursday”, said Nyauyu.
She has since played down fears that there might be a lapse in security at the show looking at the numbers that the organisers are targeting to reach out for the show.
“I know some people are having issues with the security if the comments on Facebook are anything to by but be assured there will be tight security at this event”, said Nyauyu.
Apart from Bufen (Kentam Products) the organisers have also partnered with Zodiak Broadcasting Station, TC 11, CP Investments, Recapo and Print and Cut.
