A concerning situation has arisen as the plane carrying Vice President Saulos Chilima cannot be located.
Both the authorities in his office and his political party are actively looking for him.
Chilima was en route to Mzuzu, with plans to connect to Nkhata Bay for the burial of the late Ralph Kasambala.
According to the The Nation Online, reports indicate that the plane, which belongs to the Malawi Defence Force (MDF), was diverted just 10 minutes before its scheduled landing at the airport.

Both Felix Njawala, representing Chilima’s UTM Party, and Pilirani Phiri, who speaks for the VP, are still awaiting information about Chilima’s whereabouts.
Furthermore, Major Kelvin Mlelemba of the MDF has stated that he is not aware of the situation.
