As a way of celebrating the festive season with its agents, the country’s leading mobile money service provider Airtel Money has put K44 million at stake for Airtel money agents across the country to win.

Speaking when unveiling the news in Lilongwe, Head of Marketing for Airtel Money Virginia Jere said the festive season is a time of the year when customers transact more by sending and receiving money to and from their loved ones.

Jere said the promotion will run until February 6, 2023

“We are delighted to give back to our agents this festive season by splashing out such an amount as a way of celebrating with all Airtel Money agents in the country. To qualify for the promotion, an agent has to transact through cash in’s and cash out’s of worth K50, 000 per day. We have done a good research where it has shown that almost 98 percent of the agents could qualify for the promotion regardless of their location”, said Jere.

At the end of the promotion 4 lucky Airtel money agents will go away with K1 million each. Other prizes are K300, 000’s to 56 agents monthly and K20, 000’s to 40 agents weekly.

Herbert Tung’ande, an Airtel money agent in Malangalanga in the Central Business District of Lilongwe praised Airtel money for putting up a promotion for the agents.

Tung’ande feels the promotion is a motivation to them to make more transactions.

“I have been an Airtel Money agent since 2015 and this is my first time to hear of a promotion for Agents like us. I thank Airtel money for thinking through these lines and making sure that agents smile this Christmas”, said Tung’ande.
