Airtel Malawi has rewarded its best-performing employees with over K20 million in cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding performance during the third quarter of 2026.
The awards were presented during the seventh edition of the Airtel Atsogo 09 Awards, a quarterly employee recognition programme designed to celebrate excellence and reward outstanding contributions to the company’s business performance.
The winners were drawn from various departments, including Home Broadband (HBB), Sales and Distribution, and Customer Experience, with individual cash prizes ranging from K100,000 to K1 million.
In addition to recognising individual employees, Airtel Malawi also rewarded three top-performing shops and outstanding back-end functions, including the Marketing Department, for their contribution to the company’s overall business success.
Speaking during the awards ceremony held at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe, Airtel Malawi Managing Director Aashish Dutt said the initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to promoting a culture of excellence and high performance.
Dutt said the programme also seeks to make Airtel an enjoyable workplace and an employer of choice in Malawi by recognising and rewarding employees who demonstrate dedication, innovation and outstanding performance.
“Atsogo reflects our commitment to building a strong performance-driven culture where dedication, innovation and excellence are recognised and rewarded. We believe that investing in our people and celebrating outstanding performance motivates our teams to raise the bar and deliver exceptional customer experiences,” he said.
The Airtel Atsogo 09 Awards form part of the telecommunications company’s broader efforts to recognise employee excellence, encourage innovation and strengthen a performance-driven culture that supports business growth and the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
